Barena

Barena Venezia is a small, family-owned company first originating in 1961 when its founder, Sandro Zara, got his start in the fashion industry. Zara found his inspiration for Barena after uncovering original patterns and stitching books from old, closed-down wool mills in and around the lagoon areas of Venice. After his daughter, Francesca, became part of the family business, the brand extended into womenswear and continued finding inspiration from interesting materials and original early 20th century archived patterns.
