Alden Shoe Company

The Alden Shoe Company, founded in 1884 by Charles H. Alden in Middleborough, Massachusetts, is now the last surviving New England shoe manufacturer. Based in a region that was once the center of American shoe manufacturing, the family owned company has managed to continuously operate when others could not. Styles such as the Indy Boot, Longwing Blucher, Tassel Loafer as well as the Tanker Boot made in Cordovan and other leathers are classics and have gained cult like followings.  Recognized world wide, Alden represents the American shoe making tradition at the highest level.
