Shoes Like Pottery are produced by Moonstar Japan, a sneaker factory located in Karume that has been making high quality footwear since 1873. The hallmark of Shoes Like Pottery is the vulcanizing, or ka-ryu process in Japanese, performed by only a select handful of shoe manufacturers around the world. In the ka-ryu process, each shoe is fired in a kiln which causes the sulfur mixed inside the raw rubber to chemically react, returning the rubber to its natural elasticity and creating a soft, flexible, and durable sole.
Shoes Like Pottery are unisex but listed in men's sizing. For men's sizing we suggest taking your normal size or sizing down when in-between sizes. For women's sizing we suggest going two sizes down from your normal size (EG: men's 4 = women's 6). Please contact us if you have any sizing questions.
