Founded in 1940 in Kojima, Japan, BIG JOHN is one of the country’s pioneering denim brands and played an important role in the development of Japanese-made jeans. The brand produced Japan’s first domestically made jeans in 1965 and has continued to develop its own fabrics and techniques ever since. Today, BIG JOHN combines traditional Japanese denim craftsmanship with a deep appreciation for vintage workwear, producing selvedge denim and timeless garments designed to develop character with wear.
