Based the men's Pecos boot that's been in production since the 1950s, the women's Pecos has a classic side seam shaft and takes style notes from Pecos boots from our archives.  Red Wing has been making pull-on boots, a style favored by ranchers and roughnecks, for almost a century. In the 1950s, Red Wing introduced the Pecos, named after a town in Texas, and it went on to become one of the company's most popular styles.

Red Wing developed an new last for this boot creating a feminine look and fit. The #3469 features premium Olive Mohave leather, three-quarter Goodyear welt construction, and a black Chemigum sole.  The Olive Roughout leather is created using a reverse-suede technique at Red Wing's S.B. Foot Tanning Co. While most tanneries split, thin and weaken the hide to create the rough suede surface, Red Wing simply uses the other side of the hide. By avoiding splitting or thinning the hides, the Roughout leather is as strong and durable as other leathers.

Remember, a new pair of Red Wing Women's Heritage boots should fit comfortably tight on your foot, with enough room to freely wiggle your toes. The full grain leather upper, leather covered foam footboard and cork inlay create an enduring and customized fit over time, with each wear.
