Wide-silhouette deck pants based on trousers from the WWI era and featuring large front pockets that straddle the side seams. These pants are cut from a Japanese fabric called "Unsai," a very rare twill fabric that has a very high density and diagonal stretch. This material has traditionally been used in Japan for such varied items as the soles of tabi socks, soy sauce strainers, canvases, and the loincloths, or “mawashi”, worn by sumo wrestlers during training.
